Videoing your dance show

ON THE NIGHT

In order to obtain the best results we use professional digital video cameras. These are capable of capturing every moment and movement in high quality.

Three or four cameras are used throughout the performance. Using multiple cameras enables us to obtain an overall view of the performing area, be it a theatre stage or sports hall, and also capture close ups of the performers as individuals or in groups.

All the cameras feed into our vision mixer which enables us to edit the video on the spot. Each camera also records the performance to tape so we can make final edit adjustments, if needed, back in the studio.

EDITING

On the night there will obviously be a few minutes between each item. We will remove this waiting time to create a seamless production.

Each dance will have a title and the name of the group performing. The beginning of the video will have the name of your show or event.

If you have special requirements we will endeavour to accommodate these for you e.g. pupils and parents arriving, audience shots as the venue fills up etc.

At the end, after the finale or presentations (which we always include) we will have a selection of still images taken from the show which runs as a slide show with music.

If you supply a list of dancers names (as a word document) we will include these in the credits at the end along with any other special messages parents and pupils.

THE FINISHED VIDEO

When the video has been edited we will provide you with a copy for general approval. We will make minor alterations but cannot re-edit or make any changes regarding title styles etc.

The videos and DVDs are supplied in plastic library cases with an attractive inlay cover designed exclusively for your show. The inlay cover will include some of the still images taken from the show, together with your dance school name, event or show name,venue and date plus any other information that you may wish to include.

All media is supplied in PAL format. All DVDs are in DVD-R format unless otherwise requested.

With the DVD-R/+R production method there is no guarantee that all the DVD-R (or DVD+R) discs will play in all types of DVD players or drives. This is an industry compatibility issue that has not yet been solved and is not a function of the high grade media which we use. The use of high grade recording media ensures that the DVD plays in the majority of DVD players. Further information regarding the suitability of your DVD player can be found at :-

ORDERING VIDEOS AND DVDS

We will only supply to fulfill paid for orders. As you will be taking orders for the videos and DVDs, it is up to you to decide how much you wish to charge your end customers.

You will be supplied with video order slips printed especially for your event. If you decide to to sell the videos at the price we charge we will accept payment by cheque or cash. When we supply the videos we will require payment on delivery.

We expect that your customers will have checked the compatibility of their DVD player against DVD-R or DVD+R prior to ordering, we cannot accept responsibility for the failure of a DVD to play if this has not been carried out. If anyone does not have access to the internet we will carry out this check if they supply the make and model of their player.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

We will liase with you fully before the show date and on the day to obtain as much information from you about your event or show. We would request a copy of the programme at least 5 days prior to the show date. We will do our utmost to make sure that we do our very best for you and your school.
